Born and raised in New Hampshire, I began skiing at the age of three at Tenney Mountain. It wasn’t until I was a freshman in high school that I began my ski racing career with Franconia Ski Club at Cannon Mountain and paired that with the Plymouth Regional High School alpine team where I served as captain my junior and senior year. The highlight of my career came at a spring series race where I won the second run by nearly 3.5 seconds against several college racers and scored a 75-point slalom race. As a college freshman, I attended Westminster College in SLC, UT where I concentrated on big mountain skiing at Snowbird. I transferred after my first year to Saint Michael’s College because I missed the East Coast ice. After a year of competing with the SMC alpine team, and the following year with Smuggs, I decided it was time to hang up the GS suit and actually stay warm in the winter. I am currently a senior Media Studies major at SMC in the thick of my yearlong senior capstone. When I’m not skiing, I’m usually thinking about skiing or playing frisbee with the ultimate club, for which I am the captain. Otherwise, I enjoy frolicking in the mountains, planning night photography escapades, and making terrible puns.
