Snowboarding

Welcome to the 2016 Season!

SNSC’s snowboard program was established ten years ago and today is one of the only formal snowboard programs in Northern Vermont.   Athletes begin in the Meisters or Development groups, building fundamental riding skills and then progress to the competition teams that offer one day or two day options.   The excellent coaching staff is experienced across all snowboard disciplines and the program maintains a 5 to 1 or lower ratio of coaches to kids.

SNSC competition team riders compete in the Northern Vermont USASA series and can choose to participate in some or all of the 5 events, Alpine Slalom and Giant Slalom, Slopestyle, Rail Jams, and Bordercross.   SNSC has regularly sent many athletes to Nationals, a total of 9 in 2014/15 and they have had terrific 10 Top results.    But our riders might tell you what they love is their time in the back bowls of Smugg’s, riding the most challenging terrain and making fresh turns.
